The children have to guess the colours.
First the children have to practice with the colors
song.
Then, a colour will be represented in a slide with a
blank space for fulfilling with its correct spelling. The answer could be found
in next slide.
The aim of this activity
is to strengthen vocabulary about colors. The activity can be done in small
groups or even with all the class asking them directly.

Very useful presentation to introduce the colors to our students. I think that is very good idea to use first a song about the topic and later use the presentation. I like the idea that the students try to guess the color because they have the opportunity to use the target language (English).
ResponderEliminarVery nice post!
Hi Nerea,
ResponderEliminarYour blog is awash with interesting and very useful tasks! Congratulations on the hard work you did!
I like this task especially because it is very useful when it comes to learning colours in a motivating way. Indeed I cannot agree more with Rosa when she says that by means of songs and attractive videos students are much motivated. I also like the way you present it, as this is also the way I have presented one of my tasks. Indeed, your task could be used as an explanation activity providing a suitable video at the beginning and suggesting an activity focused on writing skills afterwards. The idea of considering the answers is also a good point so that students can check their results directly.
I encourage you to visit my blog. I would like to read your suggestions.
Kind regards.
Hei Nerea!
ResponderEliminarCongratulations for your blog. I think that the activities that you have chosen are really appealing for young learners. Besides, I think that the content on your blog is really well-organized because it is very easy to find and understand what the activities are about.
If I had to choose one activity, I would probably select the one that pupils have to guess the colours. I agree with Rosa and Karmele saying that your activity with colours is very useful and fun to introduce the colors to our students.
Thanks for sharing your blog!
Good job Nerea!
Kind regards,
Josepa Espona
